1: What position do you prefer, defensive midfielder like Gal Alberman or more like Nosa Igiebor who can go play in the box. Also, which pairing do you prefer to play with Alberman & Medujanin or Igiebor & Medunjanin?
“I grew up as a more offensive player similar to a number 10 but I’ve learned how to play the 50/50 and I really enjoy that role. In football you never know what a coach likes better and I’ll do whatever the coach tells me to. In reference to the players it really doesn’t matter as they are all great.”
2: How is it to play with a deep squad and how is your relationship with Coach Shota Arveladze?
“When a team has good players it pushes you to be the best you can be and I have an excellent relationship with the coach.”
3: Why did you choose Maccabi Tel Aviv?
“I thought about it a lot before I signed and everyone knows that I came back from Europe after a couple of years and I wanted to go to team that was already competing on the highest levels. That’s the only thing I had in my mind.”
4: How have you acclimated to Maccabi and what are your goals for this season?
“I’m getting along really well. It’s not easy coming back after two years away and my goals for the year is to help my teammates as much as possible and improve as much as I can.”
5: Did you consult with Yossi Benayoun when you signed with Maccabi as you are close friends?
“I’ve been close with Yossi for many years but the decision was with my family and I wasn’t influenced by anyone else.”
