After capturing the Double two weeks ago, the Under-17 side, Maccabi “Oded” Tel Aviv ended off the season in style. The young Yellow & Blue defeated Bnei Yehuda 2:0 in the final match of the season as Saar Barami and Tamir Glezer scored with Mufleh Shalata and Eyal Hen picking up assist. The win gives Eliezer Ben Aharon’s club four in a row as he summed up the victory: “We began the match well, but then the heat from the synthetic pitch slowed the game down a bit while the quality level dropped as well. We wanted to finish off the season with a win and act like true professionals and that’s what ending up happening.”
Maccabi “Eli Fuchs” Tel Aviv, the Under-16 club ended their regular season in the Southern District with a third place finish which allowed them to enter the Champions Cup tournament. The top three teams in the North and South districts were combined in a competition to determine who would earn the Champions Cup Title. The Under-16’s played three matches against the Northern district, a 5:0 win over Raanana, a 3:0 victory against Beitar Tubruk and a 4:3 win versus Maccabi “Yehoyachim” Haifa. Despite winning all three matches, the young Yellow & Blue finished in second place overall to Maccabi “Goldshenfeld” Haifa due to a superior goal differential goal.
