After completing the two legged sweep, the man on the sidelines Jordi Cruyff summed up the match against Tirana that saw Maccabi move on to the second round of Europa League qualifying:
“After a number of weeks of training and with the new players who arrived, there is still a lot of work to do and we need to strengthen the team. We are working hard to get to the most optimal position to be able to play various styles and press high. We are just in the middle of the goal that we want to reach.”
About the match that was:
“I think that they played a very good impression in the first game, they played high and played good football. Today there were some moments that put us in situations where they threatened our goal. Tactically they played well in the Israel match and they pressed forward and they played from behind, which is a style of football I like. Today was more difficult because they had to take more risks because they had to score goals which gave us more chances to find space and counter attacks. But overall they played a good two games.”
