Sheran Yeini, the Yellow & Blue Captain spoke at the prematch press conference ahead of the Europa League Matchday 3 contest against Astana in Kazakhstan:
שרן ייני במסע”ת לקראת אסטנה
“Like Jordi said, the games between the other three teams other than Villarreal are very important and whoever takes the most points will go through. We all want to go through. We know that it’s a tough game against a physical team who has a good record at home. We will give them a lot of respect but we will come and fight.”
More about the Astana squad:
“Astana has very physical squad with good strength and speed so it will be tough to handle them in the challenges. They have strong strikers and are quick on the wings with tall defenders. We need to play our game, control the ball and play on the ground while getting used to the pitch.”
Playing on a synthetic pitch:
“Most of the players haven’t played on an artificial pitch while some of us who have played in Europe have. I think that it won’t be a problem as we have one day to adjust.”
About Egor Filipenka Belarus teammates who are on Astana:
“I talked to Egor about this. It is the right defender and a midfielder. He spoke to me about them but I don’t want to say too much of what he said. Although he said that they are quality players and enough to know how I can handle them on the pitch.”
Concerns about Astana:
“I think that we are usually worried about the strikers and they will be the dangerous players.”
On the Kairat match last year:
“I spoke to my teammates and they said that it was difficult match and that they were a strong team.”
