Maccabi Tel Aviv FC can confirm that midfielder Tino Susic has left the club by mutual consent.
Susic, 25, joined Maccabi on a one-year deal during the summer transfer window and made 12 appearances in all competitions.
Maccabi’s CEO, Ben Mansford, told the clubs’ official website: “Tino is a player we brought in who we felt had huge potential but unfortunately he didn’t play as many minutes as he or us would have liked. Having sat down with him and his advisors we felt it was right for him to be able to pursue opportunities elsewhere. Tino leaves Maccabi to go abroad and it goes without saying that we thank him for all that he has done while he was here and wish him the very best as he moves on to his next challenge”.
Maccabi’s coach Jordi Cruyff added: “Tino is a player with an excellent attitude and I fully admit that he didn’t get the opportunity that his application warranted, but that was mostly down to the fact we have players playing well in his position. He was particularly unfortunate when he picked up an injury at the time when he would have been used, but he has been a credit to himself with his professionalism and conduct and we wish him all the best in the future”.
