Eli Dasa, the Yellow & Blue defender spoke about his team’s 4:0 victory over Hapoel Haifa on Matchday 24 of the Israel Premier League Ligat Ha’Al:
“I think we have had a number of good matches this season and we have to relax and come back down to earth after this win. We did what we had to do and we have to look ahead to the next match as both are worth 3-points.”
The title fight:
“It’s no secret that we are a threat to win the title and we did what we had to do ahead of the Hapoel Beer Sheva and Beitar Jerusalem match tomorrow. Today we defeated a very tough team who is also fighting for the title and it was very important to win the match as we created a bit of a gap from them and we can now continue to look ahead.”
The fans:
“The fan support tonight was amazing and they really helped us a lot. I have to take off my hat to them. The gave us an incredible feeling like when we played at Bloomfield and I have to give them credit for coming all the way to Netanya and fighting the traffic.”
The clean sheet:
“I do what I need to do and follow the tactics of the club. We ended the match with a clean sheet and if I can help out the offense but I am really happy about the clean sheet and not allowing a goal.”
