Maccabi Tel Aviv will continue their Israel Premier League Ligat Ha’Al campaign on Matchday 25 at Ashdod this Saturday night, 20:30. The Yellow & Blue veteran central defender Eitan Tibi addressed the media ahead of the contest:
“I worked very hard even when I wasn’t in the mix. There was a period of time when I wasn’t as sharp but I knew I would have the chance to show who I am and what I can do. I’m happy that they have confidence in me. I’ll continue to give my all for the club.”
Taking advantage of his opportunities:
“I do have chances, but I guess I just couldn’t finish my opportunities in front of the goal. However, I do know that they will eventually go in and I hope that will occur in the near future.”
On the corners:
“I think that we have had some good chances on set pieces over the past few matches but we didn’t convert them. We are working on them in training and I believe that we will continue to improve in this area.”
Ashdod’s busy schedule:
“The most important thing is to look at ourselves and we don’t have to look at any other club. That’s what will help us the most.”
Preparations for the upcoming match:
“There’s no question that we have to come in prepared, ready to go and alert for this match. This may be the difference in the game. Sometimes things don’t go as expected but we have to know how to overcome any obstacle that comes our way. I hope that we can do that should it be the case.”
