Maor Kandil, the Yellow & Blue defender spoke about his side’s 3:0 victory over Bnei Sakhnin on Matchday 9 of the Israel Premier League Ligat Japanika:
“It’s my second league game and it’s great to be able to score a goal. I hope that we can continue how we are playing as we have good momentum. Every time a get a chance to play, I’ll grab it with both hands just as I’ve done to date.”
Playing closer to the goal during corner kicks:
“I had asked the coach during the week if Could play closer to the goal on corner kick situations and I’m happy that it worked out. I am thrilled to have scored my first goal and I hope that it will continue.”
Concentrating on each and every opponent:
“We are focussing on ourselves and every match is important. We work hard preparing for each and every match as we concentrate on our opponent. We want to move forward and the results will take place as the campaign continues on.”
All for one and one for all:
“We support each other and we have a great dressing room. We have a deep squad and everyone is waiting for their chance and they work hard just to get into the squad, putting aside the Starting XI. All for one and one for all.”
Preparing match by match:
“Nothing has changed since last week. We are just looking at the next match. The gap can close very quickly. And we are just concentrating just in ourselves. We have to be ready to go.”
Competing for playing time:
“I’m happy that I am competing against a player like Eli Dasa for a place to play. That way I can improve and I consult with him before the matches to see what kind of tips he can give me. I will keep working hard and take advantage of the chances that I get.”
Movember month:
“At this pace I’ll keep my mustache for a while as it gives me luck throughout the month of November which is the Movemebr month where we focus on Men’s Health issues.”
