Vladimir Ivic, the Maccabi Tel Aviv Head Coach looked back at his squad’s 1:1 draw at Maccabi Haifa on Matchday 35 of the Israel Premier League Ligat Japanika:
“We were the dominant team until the 55th-60th minutes and then we were totally confused. We started to play for ourselves and not the team. If you want to win the game you need to fight until the end and fight for the team. They could have won the game with a last second set piece and we should have scored 3 or 4 goals in the first half.
Concentrating on Maccabi:
“I don’t watch another team, I concentrate on my team and my teams needs to fight for every game until the end. We have one more game and we have to fight to win this game.”
Formation of 3 central defenders:
“We decide on the system with the players we have and who can fit the system. We played well but we will have to see what will be in the next game.”
The last target of the season:
“We have one more week to win this game and that is our target. After that game we can go on vacation.”
