Sheran Yeini will lift the Championship Plate tomorrow, Saturday 18:00, for the fourth time as the Maccabi Captain and his squad will host Maccabi Netanya and the official championship ceremony will be held at the Netanya Stadium:
“We play for happy days like these. It’s exciting as we have waited a long time. We have to celebrate and honor this championship, because it’s very difficult to win a title.”
The season to date:
“This season has be extraordinary and I don’t know when something like this will ever happen again. We stayed our course all season and we still want to set new records, point gap between first and second place so all of the points that we can earn are important. Championships and titles are very important to us and the battle for them are important. I’m happy that we had this type of season.”
A 4th title:
“It’s my fourth title but I won’t forget the difficult time. We had some rough seasons and that is what pushed us forward. I know that football is like that and I respect every club. I also know that even if a club is at the bottom they can succeed going forward. We have to work hard and be ready because if we don’t do that we can lose the place that we are in.”
About matches against Netanya:
“Matches against Netanya are like roulette with chances by both sides. It happened to be that we had the upper hand over the past few matches but they are an excellent club and it’s always difficult against them.”
