Three days before heading out to their second Training Camp in Holland, Maccabi Tel Aviv defeated Beitar Tel Aviv/Ramle 3:0 in a friendly held at the PenguinPickUp Training Ground at Kiryat Shalom.
Head Coach Vladimir Ivic’s Starting XI: Daniel Tenenbaum (Andreas Gianniotis 46’), Maor Kandil (Noam Cohen 46’), Sheran Yeini (Jair Amador 46’), Matan Baltaxa (Shahar Piven 46’), Ophir Davdizada, Dor Peretz (Dan Glezer 46’) Ruslan Barsky (Eden Kartzev 46’), Avi Rikan (Dor Micha 46’), Matan Hozez (Yonatan Cohen 46’), Eliran Atar (Eylon Almog 46’), Itay Shechter (Aaron Schoenfeld 46’).
Maccabi opened the match well with a pair of chances by Atar and Shechter but both opportunities didn’t result in a goal. However, in the 16’ Rikan beat the Beitar keeper as Peretz sent a long ball to Kandil who crossed it to the aforementioned Rikan as he found the back of the goal from in close for a 1:0 lead.
Coach Ivic made a number of substitutions to begin the second half but it took until the 76’ for the Yellow & Blue to double their advantage when Yonatan Cohen finished off a team effort begun by Noam Cohen and Eylon Almog for a 2:0 lead. In the 87’ Micha added a third marker as Maccabi defeated Beitar Tel Aviv/Ramle 3:0.
