The Maccabi Tel Aviv FC Foundation held its traditional celebration on the last night of Hanukka on Sunday together with the Lone Soldier Center in Memory of Michael Levin.
Maccabi players Daniel Tenenbaum and Yonatan Cohen met dozens of lone IDF soldiers at Beit Jabotinsky in Tel Aviv for a candle lighting of the eighth and final night of the Jewish Festival of Light and a meal catered by club sponsors Pizza Prego, who provided their delightful products.
After all those present had eaten to their hearts’ content, they heard from speaker Ohad Yifrach, a cerebral palsy sufferer and a Maccabi supporter, who told of his life experiences growing up with the disability, raising a family and working in high tech.
The Maccabi Tel Aviv FC Foundation and the Lone Soldier Center in Memory of Michael Levin have collaborated for a number of years to host soldiers who face the unique challenges of serving without the support of family members who live close by.
