Shahar Piven has signed a new four year deal at Maccabi Tel Aviv which will keep him at the club until the end of the 2023-24 season.
The 24-year-old defender who has risen through Maccabi’s Youth Academy, today signed a new contract at Maccabi Tel Aviv which will keep him at the club until the end of the 2023-24 season.
After signing, Piven told the club’s official website: “I am delighted to sign a new contract extension at Maccabi Tel Aviv, the club where I grew up and was raised. I would like to thank Ben Mansford for the faith he has shown in me and for being a significant factor in my progress at the club. Now I am waiting to justify on the pitch the faith shown in me and continue marching the club forward to future titles.”
Coach Vladimir Ivic added: “It is good news that the club and Shahar have reached an agreement to extend his contract. Shahar deserves it because he has worked hard to achieve this, as he is one of the young players who will be the future of Maccabi Tel Aviv Football Club. From now on it’s all up to him and I am convinced that he will take his chance on the way to a successful career.”
Piven returned to Maccabi at the start of the 2018-19 season after several seasons on loan to Beitar Tel Aviv and Ashdod SC. He scored his debut goal for the club in the Toto Cup derby and has made a total of 30 appearances in all completions including 25 in the TASE Premier League.
This season, Piven made his European debut and has made a total of 12 appearances in all competitions so far.
