Omer Atzili continues to perform at the top of his game and on Sunday he added another goal and an assist to his tally in the 3-0 win over Hapoel Kiryat Shmona.
“It was a very difficult game today and things were not easy for us. We said to each other before the kickoff that we must try to score an early goal but we couldn’t do it, so it’s important to take the initiative when you can.
“Teams like Kiryat Shmona who are desperate for points to avoid relegation close down their defences and we have to find ways to break them down. We too need the points badly at this stage of the season to gain an advantage in the playoff round,” Atzili said to reporters after the game.
“Today’s goals showed great cooperation and we are so happy and hope we can continue in this vein.”
He lauded the ability of Yonatan Cohen who scored the first goal and his hard work and said he hoped that the star striker would continue to play well as the season reaches the crucial stages.
