“It is disappointing, but I think we could still feel proud. After preparations which were as far away as possible from being ideal, we reached a game that not that many players get to play. Despite the bad result we could walk out with our heads held high”.
“To be a Maccabi player means that you are good enough to be here and deserve to wear the shirt. It obviously hurts us when our teammates are sick at home, we played for them as well. I think we could feel proud at whoever played here today. We will take from this game a lot for the rest of our season even if we don’t ultimately manage to qualify. One has to give a good word to all the players who didn’t play a lot from the start of the season, like Eden Kartzev, Ruslan Barsky and Matan Baltaxa but today they deserve a lot of credit”.
