Aug 31st – Sep 10th: International break
No less than nine first team players were called up for international duty as seven were named in the Israel squad which faces Scotland in Glasgow (4.9) and host Slovakia (7.9) as part of UEFA’s Nations League. Sheran Yeini, Eitan Tibi, Avi Rikan, Dan Glazer, Dor Peretz, Yonatan Cohen and Eylon Almog were named in Israel’s squad which plays at Hampden Park on Friday and Slovakia in Netanya the following Tuesday. Israel’s U-21’s has two Maccabi representatives in goalkeeper Daniel Peretz and Eden Kartzev who travelled to the Faroe Islands and will play at Toftir on (2.9) against the team ranked bottom of their qualifying group. Israel’s young side will then return to Israel and host Kazakhstan at Netanya on (8.9) as they aim to reach the U21’s finals which will be staged next summer in Hungary and Slovenia.

Before facing Dinamo Brest in the Champions League 3rd qualifying round, the draw for the Playoff stage took place at UEFA’s Headquarters in Nyon as Maccabi could face Austria Champions Red Bull Saltzburg on a two-legged tie.

Maccabi returns from the international break for a mini Tel Aviv derby against Bnei Yehuda at Bloomfield stadium for a repeat of last season’s MD2.
Sep 16th: Maccabi Tel Aviv – Dinamo Brest (Bloomfield, 20:00)
Maccabi hosts the champions of Belarus for a one-off knockout match in the 3rd qualifying round competing for a place in the Playoff and a two-legged tie against Red Bull Salzburg. The winner of the match against Brest will secure a place in the Europa League group stage.
Sep 19th (TBC): Maccabi Tel Aviv vs Maccabi Netanya.
Maccabi remain at Bloomfield stadium for the third league match in succession, this time hosting Maccabi Netanya and Youth Department coach Raymond Atteveld who joined them in the summer as Head Coach.
Sep 22nd / 23rd: Champions League Playoff 1st leg (H)
Sep 29th / 30th: Champions League Playoff return leg (A).
Oct 1st: Europa League Playoff – knockout, one-off match
