Following the convincing victory in the derby, Maccabi will kick-off the second league round as they travel to Petah Tikva for a match against the side currently ranked 3rd that beat them 2-1 when both sides met for the opening match of the season.

Surely you missed playing twice a week. Maccabi’s fixture list returns to be packed as three days after the match at Petah Tikva, Maccabi will host Bnei Yehuda at Bloomfield for a mini Tel Aviv derby on MD15 aiming to avenge the dramatic late 2-2 draw from MD2.
Monday, January 11th Maccabi Netanya – Maccabi Tel Aviv, Netanya stadium at 20:45
Less than a month after both sides were held to a 2-2 draw in a rescheduled match which was postponed from MD3, Maccabi will once again face the Netanya side that are coached by Raymond Atterveld as part of MD16.
Saturday, January 16th Hapoel Be’ersheva – Maccabi Tel Aviv, at 20:45.
The State Cup gets underway with a tough opponent as the 8th round draw teamed Maccabi up with current holders Hapoel Be’ersheva. Both sides met earlier this season as Patrick van Leeuwen guided Maccabi to a Super Cup victory and first trophy in the cabinet. With renovations of Be’ersheva’s Turner stadium approaching an end, the game could be relocated to the south, otherwise it will take place at Teddy stadium.
Tuesday, January 19th Maccabi Tel Aviv – Maccabi Haifa, Bloomfield at 20:45
This is probably on paper the most interesting match of January as the Champions host the current league leaders. When both teams met at Sammy Ofer stadium this season, the Haifaites took an early two-goal-lead before an impressive comeback settled the score at 2-2.
Monday, January 25th Hapoel Be’ersheva – Maccabi Tel Aviv at 20:45
Less than a week after both teams faced each other in the State Cup, Maccabi will line-up against Be’ersheva once again in the league this time as part of MD18.
The match between Maccabi Tel Aviv against Bnei Sachnin at Bloomfield stadium originally scheduled for the weekend of January 30th – has yet to be confirmed by the League Management.
