Avi Rikan will continue at Maccabi Tel Aviv for at least another season after successfully passing a medical, signing today (Wednesday) a new contract until the end of the 2021/22 season and joining the rest of the squad.
Maccabi’s Head of the Football Department, Barak Itzhaki told the club’s official website: “The professional and personal attributes Avi has together with his vast experience are well known to us after six years of playing a key role in Maccabi’s success. We are happy Avi will continue wearing the Yellow and Blue colors next season as well and wish him the best of luck!”.
The 32-year-old midfielder added: “To continue at Maccabi Tel Aviv was one of the easiest decisions I took in my career. The past six seasons transformed my strong bond to Maccabi into something that feels right for me and for the club. After receiving the call from Maccabi, the entire process of extending my contract became a technical matter only. From here on I will rejoin the rest of the team in order to achieve all the targets we have this season”.
