Maccabi Tel Aviv unveiled the new club crest today, 115 years after the club was founded. Throughout Maccabi’s rich history, the club’s crest underwent many changes and updates according to the spirit of the various time periods. But just like today, there was one thing in common that always accompanied us: the Iconic Maccabi crest.
The design process of the new club badge, took us on an evolution journey the crest underwent since the club was founded; The addition of the Yellow color as tribute to the Holocaust survivors through to the period in which the State of Israel proclaimed its’ independence and all the way to the successful era of the recent decades.
Evidently, this current design clearly shows the changes the Maccabi crest underwent through the zeitgeist of history and the respect it gives to the elements that highlight our past as well as the bond to the city of Tel Aviv. A lot of emphasis was placed the club’s rich heritage alongside a contemporary look that matches the modern game.
