Maccabi Tel Aviv travelled to France with a 1-0 lead from last week’s victory at Bloomfield as Vladimir Ivic’s charges will aim to complete the job and reach the Conference League Group stage when they play return leg against Nice on Thursday.

The entire team jetted out of Ben Gurion Airport this morning and travelled directly to Nice where they will hold the pre-match press conference followed by the final practice session at the Allianz Riviera stadium. Opened in 2013, the 35,600 capacity stadium which will host Thursday’s match (21:00) was one of the venues for the Euro in 2016.

Maccabi will arrive in Nice on the back of Sunday’s 5-0 victory over newly promoted side Maccabi Bnei Reineh while the hosts suffered a 1-0 defeat in the league away to Clermont. The winner of the tie will advance to the Conference league group stage with the draw taking place in Istanbul on Friday (15:00)
