Maccabi Tel Aviv suffered its’ second defeat this season after conceding twice without a reply at Turner stadium as Dor Peretz tried explaining at the end of the game: “We didn’t have a good game. It was a key match for us, but we were not agressive enough or determined enough which sadly led to the result especially with a numerical disadvantage”.

The 27-year old whose goal at Turner several years ago inflicted Be’ersheva their first ever defeat at the new home, added: “One needs to remember that this is a marathon and we must arrive at every match better prepared. The main conclusion is just like we came today or to Haifa and to Sakhnin it is not good enough and we must show better form”.

Peretz, who won several titles at Maccabi remained adamant: “We are aware of the fact that our form wasn’t good enough, we need to turn up at matches better. We must show our spirit, show that we want to run as much and as high as possible and only this way we can achieve what we want”.
