Maccabi Tel Aviv are delighted to announce that Oscar Gloukh (18) signed a new contract a fact which should keep the attacking midfielder at the Club till the end of the 2024/25 season.
Gloukh, who came through Maccabi’s Youth Academy broke into the first team last season scoring three goals in 11 appearances in all competitions, experienced an exceptional summer as he led Israel U19’s to the final of the European Finals. This season, Oscar became a regular and key player in Vladimir Ivic’s side scoring four league goals and assisting five others in 9 league matches.
After signing his contract, Gloukh told the club’s official website: “I am really happy. I enjoy playing for Maccabi Tel Aviv which is something I have really wanted to do. It was always my aim, coming through Maccabi’s academy to work hard and reach the senior side. Being part of the first team squad, playing alongside senior and experienced professionals helps me a lot, so hopefully I can keep improving and continue my progress”.
Barak Itzhaki, Head of Maccabi’s Football Department, added: “We are delighted with Oscar’s development. He is a natural talent, but he also has an excellent work ethic and always wants to learn. I know our supporters will be especially pleased to see another home grown talent come through our Academy into the first team. Oscar earned that chance and he has a set a great example to our young players. He is just at the beginning of his journey but he has a very exciting future ahead and we are delighted that his journey will continue here”.
