Maccabi returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over 10-man Maccabi Netanya as Dor Peretz who had a first half goal disallowed for offside, said at the end of the game: “We were well prepared for this match. We came with the right pointers, we looked good and were aggressive right from the start”. The 27-year-old midfielder, added: “When we are aggressive this the foundations as we have the right players to show their personal skill. We simply showed up today, in comparison to other matches”.

On the claims that Maccabi is out of the title race, and whether that has effected the players, Peretz replied: “The fact we dropped so many points recently made us focus on ourselves and understand that if we will come prepared we will collect the points and win matches. What is important for us now and I know it sounds like a cliché is we want to progress and see what happens next. This Playoff has the best teams at the highest level as all the big clubs are competing which makes it very interesting”.
