Maccabi Tel Aviv will kick off the pre-season training camp in Marbella, Spain with a practice match against South Africa’s giants Orlando Pirates on July 13th. Coached by Jose Riviero, the Bucaneers who won the South African league title 9 times and reached the CAF Confederations Cup final twice (2015 and 2021/22) finished last season’s South African league campaign in the runners-up spot as well as 2 South African Cups.

Maccabi will hold the pre-season training camp in Spain (9.7-18.7) at Madrid and Marbella where they will face the Pirates on July 13th, take on Premiership outfit Bournemouth on July 16th and are set to play a third friendly (TBA).

Two days after returning to Israel, Maccabi will travel to Turner for the first official match of the 2023/24 season for the Toto Cup knockout match against Hapoel Be’ersheva. The winner of that knockout match will advance to the Semi Final of the Toto Cup, while the loser will play for positions 5-8 of the competition.
