Maccabi are once again in a European group stage after securing qualification to the Conference League at the expense of Slovenian outfit NK Celje.

Maccabi’s name will be drawn and placed in one of 8 groups containing four clubs on Friday at 15:30 at the Grimaldi forum in Monaco.

The draw will feature 32 teams – 22 Conference League Play-off winners and 10 sides transferring from the Europa League qualifying Play-Offs.

The 32 teams will be split into four seeding pots based on the club coefficient rankings to be confirmed on the morning of the draw.

The coefficient ranking accumulated over the past 5 years, placed Maccabi in Pot2 which would see them miss out on clubs placed in the same pot.

Teams from the same country can’t be drawn in the same group with fixtures confirmed after the draw. The group stage matches are played on Thursdays from September 21st to December 14th with kick off times at 19:45 and 22:00 Israeli time.

The group winners advance to the round of 16 while teams that finish in the runners-up spot will compete in the knockout round play-offs against the third-placed sides from the Europa League. The winners of the Play-offs will join the group winners in the last 16.
