Maccabi Tel Aviv FC and Austria Vienna reached an agreement for the transfer of Matan Baltaxa who signed an 18-month long deal with an option to extend by two more seasons.
Baltaxa, who successfully completed a medical at the club, signed his contract and will receive the number X shirt, told Maccabi’s official website: “I am delighted to return to the club that was first to give me the stage and developed me to who I am today. Maccabi’s targets are clear. I would like to help the team win as many titles as possible. Looking forward to meet the fans and at the same time, just like everyone else, wish all the soldiers well and for a speedy return back home to all the hostages. #AlwaysMaccabi!”
The 28-year-old defender rejoins Maccabi where he made 59 appearances between 2019-2022 winning 4 trophies: State Cup (2020/21), Toto Cup (2020/21) and 2 Super Cups (2019/20, 2020/21).
