Maccabi Tel Aviv is bidding farewell to Eyal Golasa after 8 successful seasons during which he won 10 trophies.

The 32-year-old midfielder joined Maccabi in the summer of 2016 and scored 13 goals in 240 appearances in all competitions.

Golasa told the Club’s official website: “When I arrived at Maccabi eight years ago, I didn’t believe that I would be accepted right from the start as if I was a home-grown player. Kiryat Shalom truly became my home and the experiences I gained as well as the friendships I created will follow me for as long as I live. The players I played alongside, the coaches, the medical and logistics staff, all the Club’s employees from Mitch Goldhar, Jack Angelides, Ben Mansford who were with me in happy and difficult moments – thank you all. To you the Maccabi fans who knew to lift and support everywhere and anytime – I have a massive place in my heart. Thanks for everything.”

Maccabi’s owner, Mitch Goldhar, said: “On behalf of everyone at Maccabi I would like to thank Eyal for his outstanding contribution, loyalty and great memories he gave the Club. I wish him the very best for the future.”

Having made his Maccabi debut during the EUROPA League qualifier away to Kairat Almaty, Golasa, featured in a total of 48 matches in Yellow and Blue in the various European competitions.

He helped Maccabi reach the Europa League round of 32 (20/21) and Conference League (21/22) as well as a historic qualification to the Conference League Round of 16 in the 2023/24 campaign.

During his time in Maccabi, Golasa, won 10 trophies: 3 League Championships (18/19, 19/20, 23/24), a State Cup (20/21), 4 Toto Cups (17/18, 18/19, 20/21, 23/24) and 2 Super Cups (19/20, 20/21).
