Maccabi’s pre-season training camp in Poland began with a 5-0 victory over second division side Ruch Chorzow at Busko-Zdrój. With Eran Zahavi and Nir Biton both left out to rest and with Roy Revivo, Ido Shahar, Osher Davida, Dor Turgeman and new signing Elad Madmon all on international duty ahead of the Olympic Games – Lazetic gave his entire squad some playing time.

 

In the 24th minute Maccabi’s captain for the match, Dor Peretz put Maccabi in front after being put through by Dan Biton. The midfielder then turned from provider to scorer as he doubled the score on the stroke of halftime with a left foot rocket into the top corner to double the score. Lazetic changed almost the entire the team with Idan Nachmias the only player to stay on for the entire duration of the match sifting from right back to the heart of defense.

In the 64th minute Nadav Niddam carried the ball from the middle of the park before sending a low powerful drive to make it 3-0. Matan Hozez who was introduced as a sub midway through the second half sent a cross which was headed in by Saied Abu Farhi on 73 for Maccabi’s fourth. In the 88th minute Abu Farhi doubled his tally on the night as he side footed him from point blank range following good work by Yonatan Cohen.
