Gabi Kanichowsky tried keeping a positive approach despite suffering the third defeat in the Europa League going down 2-1 to Real Sociedad in Belgrade. Kanichowsky didn’t hide his disappointment as he said after the the match: “We were excellent in the 3 matches we played so far and didn’t fall from no opponent but we don’t have any points to show for our efforts which is disappointing.”

Despite leading the table in the domestic league and hardly dropping points, in Europe the situation is totally different as the midfielder said: “We have a good momentum in the league so to come face a team as good as Sociedad and play like this – all the players deserve a lot of credit. These are totally different levels sadly but we are not lying down are looking good and come to play football. The results are not here but I am sure they will come.”

Ahead of the rest of the campaign, Kanichowsky added: “Our next match is away to Ajax and every player wishes to play at such a stadium and at a match like that. As I said earlier we are playing good football and I am sure the results and points would come. We know what our targets are as we wanted to be in this comoetition”.
