Maccabi “Shachar” defeats Beitar Shimshon Tel Aviv 2:1

Maccabi “Shachar” Tel Aviv played a friendly in preparation for the upcoming 2018/19 season and defeated the First Team of Beitar Shimshon Tel Aviv (Liga B) by the score of 2:1 at the PenguinPickUp Training Ground at Kiryat Shalom. In the match that was played with two 30 minutes halves, the Yellow & Blue fell behind early but was able to overcome the deficit and record the victory.

The friendly was the last tuneup ahead of the 2018/19 campaign which begins on Saturday August 25th at Bnei Sahknin as Guy Tzarfati’s side will begin their title defense.

Maccabi “Shachar” & Beitar Tel Aviv/Ramle’s First Team draw 1:1

Maccabi “Shachar” Tel Aviv played a friendly ahead of the 2018/19 campaign. The young Yellow & Blue drew 1:1 against Beitar Tel Aviv/Ramle’s First Team as the match was played at the PenguinPickUp Training Facility at Kiryat Shalom. The visitor’s took a 1:0 lead but Head Coach Guy Tzarfati’s squad was able to even up the score thanks to a goal by Ido Shahar.

The Under-19 side will continue to prepare for the opening of the new season on August 25th when they visit Bnei Sakhnin. On Thursday, a special tournament will take place in Jerusalem with 6 Israel Youth Premier League teams who will be divided into two groups with the winner of each playing in the final. The matches will be comprised of two 20-minute halves.

Maccabi Tel Aviv, Maccabi Haifa, Maccabi Netanya, Beitar Jerusalem, Bnei Sakhnin and Hapoel Beer Sheva will all take part in the competition.

7 Academy Members with the Israel U19 National Team

The Israel Under-19 National Team played a pair of friendlies against their counterpart from Romania. The matches were held in preparation for the European Championship qualifiers in November when they will face Azerbaijan, Liechtenstein and Georgia.

The first friendly took place on Tuesday as the Blue & White fell 2:1 while on Thursday Alon Hazan’s side defeated Romania 2:0.

The Maccabi Tel Aviv players who took part in the friendlies were, keeper Daniel Peretz, defenders Alon Shtrozberg, Tomer Mahluf, Amit Glazer, midfielders Yoav Hofmayster, Eden Kartzev and striker Mufleh Shalata.

Community Day: Meet the Players ahead of the Israel Premier League Opener

On Sunday August 12th meet the Maccabi Stars at the PenguinPickUp Training Ground at Kiryat Shalom. You’ll be able to take pictures, selfies and receive autographs from all of the Yellow & Blue stars up close and personal.

The event will begin at 16:45 and fans must be at the facility by 16:30. Registration opens today, Thursday and is limited to 500 people. Please note, you will not be able to attend if you do not register in advance.

 

How does it work?
Registration is open today Tuesday August 7th at 12:00 to all Maccabi FIRST members for the Community Day on Sunday August 12th at 16:45 at the PenguinPickUp Training Ground at Kiryat Shalom, 106 Derech Ben Tzvi and is limited to 500 participants ONLY.
Each person may register up to 3 participants which includes the person submitting the registration. Just like when you make a reservation at a restaurant, you request a table for yourself plus 2 friends for a total of 3 ONLY.

IMPORTANT:

  • Participants are not allowed to bring with professional photographers or videographers.
  • Following the registration, you’ll receive an email requesting information about the participants.
  • If you registered for the last Community Day and weren’t able to come but didn’t give us notice, you will not be allowed to attend this coming Community Day. If you register for this upcoming Community Day and can’t come, please let us know in advance.
  • If weather conditions don’t permit the Community Day to take place, you will be notified a few hours prior to the event and you’ll be able to participate in the Community Day the following month.
  • All participants must arrive at the Kiryat Shalom Training Facility by 16:30. Should you be delayed, you may not be able to participate in the event.
  • In order to ensure that all fans meet all of the players, special greeting videos may not be recorded at the Training Facility.
  • Entrance to the Training Facility will be granted only after a full security check. Each participant will need to present their Teudat Tzehut ID Card, License or Passport in order to take part in the event. Entrance will not be granted to those whose names do not appear on the official registration list!

The Under-15s Open up training for the new season

The Maccabi Tel Aviv “Avi Cohen” Youth Academy’s next representative, the Under-15 side, Maccabi “Eldad” Tel Aviv under the direction of Head Coach Ori David and his assistant Eliran Mizrahi began training for the upcoming 2018/19 season.

David commented about the opening of a new campaign: “I feel great. This is my 11th season at the Club and I’m a lucky person to be part of this Academy for so many years. It’s great to see that the demands of Performance Director Patrick van Leeuwen and his assistant Raymond Atteveld continue to increase as each season begins. Last campaign was very successful and we will continue to strive to be at the same level of the European academies. On a personal level I’m happy to be back with the Under-15 squad which is now made up of boys born in 2004 and I’m thrilled to be a part of this wonderful Academy where I can help and contribute to the development of the youth.”

Derby on Matchday 4: U19 Fixtures Released

The Israel Youth Premier League begins at the end of August and the fixtures for the upcoming 2018/19 season were released as Maccabi “Shachar” Tel Aviv will begin their defense on August 25th at Bnei Sakhnin.

Guy Tzarfati’s side will host Hapoel Tel Aviv in the first Derby of the season on Matchday 4 while they will play Maccabi Petah Tikva on the next Matchday, Hapoel Raanana on Matchday 9 and Maccabi Haifa on Matchday 14.

The Yellow & Blue’s Under-19 training camp in Bulgaria is nearing its end as they played their final friendly against local side PFC Septemvri Sofia (U19 State Cup Champions) on Saturday. Head Coach Guy Tzarfati’s squad scored seven goals thanks to Omri Barami, Eyal Hen, Dan Lugassi, David Dego, Muflah Shalata and a brace by Tal Yegudayev.

The Under-19’s defeat the Under-17’s 4:1

The preseason training camp in Bulgaria for the Under-19 and Under-17 side’s has featured a number of friendlies so far this week and on Friday the two sides battled it out between themselves as Maccabi “Shachar” won 4:1 thanks to goals by Bar Cohen and Gil Ben Shalosh while Or Roizman found the back of the goal for Maccabi “Oded”.

The Under-19 and Under-17 teams began their preseason training camp in Boyana, Bulgaria. Today (Tuesday) Maccabi “Shachar” played their first friendly match against Slavia Sofia. The Yellow & Blue defeated the local side thanks to a goal by Shai Balahssan in the 74’. Tomorrow the Under-17 team will play their first preseason friendly against CSKA Sofia at 18:00 and will be broadcasted live on the Official Maccabi Tel Aviv Website.

Youth Academy Teams Head to Training Camp in Bulgaria

Over the next few days, two Maccabi Tel Aviv “Avi Cohen” Youth Academy teams will arrive in Bulgaria for preseason training camps that will last for 7 days. The Under-19 and Under-17 sides are preparing for the 2018/19 campaign and will play a number of friendlies against teams including CSKA Sofia, Lokomotiv Sofia, Slavia Sofia and others.

Football Development at the Youth Academy

The teams will hold two training sessions per day and each side will face 3 local opponents. Throughout the camp, the players will have a schedule that includes training and video sessions, as well as working out in a gym and in a swimming pool.
